alright i have been reading about strokers for awhile now, i have a 1997 gst and i plan on putting a 2.4 stroker in it. the 2.4 strokeri want to use, is the 6 bolt version with the hyundai block/crank, 1g head. my question is will my tranny still bolt up to the 6 bolt stroker? reason i ask is i've been told that it wouldnt, maybe that guy was an idiot i dont know. i think that it will because basically it is a 6 bolt swap, just a stroker 6 bolt swap. people do that swap all the time...so a simple yes or no would be great and the thread can be locked thanks in advance

"Technically" a 2.4 is NOT a stroker, a 2.4 block using a 2.4 crank is a 2.4 motor, a 2.0 block using a 2.4 crank is a stroker. The way you get/build a stroker is by putting a bigger crank into a smaller displacement block or you can do it the other way around and destroke a motor. I'm not just directing this towards you, it's directed towards everyone cause I have yet to see anyone else say anything about this.

I've heard that there are some wide block 2.4's but I think they came in the mighty max p/u trucks, not too sure though cause I haven't looked that far into them.

right, very true. in the stroker threads, everyone always refers to it as a 2.4 stroker. but you are right it is a 2.4 motor. also the wide block 2.4's came in mighy max trucks, expo vans and a few other vehicles. the 2.4 block that i am guessing is compatible is the one found in 89-91 sonatas and a few other fwd vehicles.
