Leak was identified and I spent the entire weekend fixing it. I had to remove everything to get the front cover off. An area the size of 1/4 of an inch that I forgot to add some RTV. It sucked. I will remember next time for sure...LOL. I will clean the car this weekend and take some new photos and maybe a video. ;)

Been driving the car for a few days and all seems to be working perfectly. I don't have any more smoke although it took a few days of driving it for it to completely burn off what was hanging out in the exhaust pipes and possibly muffler. It just needs the tune dialed in.

So this weekend, I decided to setup the car to log additional external inputs. This car is tuned using HP Tuners and I remembered buying a pro-link setup when I got it a couple years ago. With this setup, you can add two additional analog inputs and one canbus for logging into HPT. So, I already had an AEM 3.5 bar map sensor. This is a 3 wire sensor that you all know, needs a 5V positive, ground and signal. I didn't really have a good source for a 5V signal so I used this stepdown transformer and used one of the 12V sources from the interior fusebox that is powered on run/start. I then fed the sensor's signal to one of the analog inputs on prolink and added/setup the PD in HPT. Cool thing is HPT already has a profile for this sensor in the software to transform the signal for ya. Works perfectly and I can now log boost. Next is to add a fuel pressure sensor. I ordered this one. I plan to get one of AEM's wideband kits and log it to the canbus input as well. I just want to be comfortable with the data before tuning. I also quickly waxed the car and put the crappy hood on. I plan to replace it though.

I did some maintenance over the weekend. The car was sputtering above 5,000rpm so I decided to check the spark plugs since I couldn't remember whether I had ever gapped them. These are the old plugs from 2 years ago. Not only were the gaps inconsistent across, I found one plug had partially cracked porcelain, so it's getting a new set of NGKs and I will gap them to 22 thou. Car is getting an oil change and I am draining the water and doing a 50:50 antifreeze mix. I also replaced the O2 sensors. Just a reminder this car stock has wideband sensors so they are important for tuning, even at WOT. I am suspecting they had gotten fouled with the oil burning issues the car had prior. I am just seeing too much variation in fuel trims and want to cross all the "t"s and do the "i"s. The car is on wastegate and 9psi boost. Feels strong. It may end up on the dyno next month if I have some cash to waste.

I have just been driving the car around for the past month putting miles on it and fine tuning it and everything seems to be going well so far. It's pretty dialed in on wastegate which is 9psi per my logged AEM 5 bar. Just runs great other than not having traction in the first 3 gears when I am on my street tires. :D A good problem to have. Idle video below.

I had the Mustang on the dyno earlier today and on wastegate (8-9psi) it put down almost 700whp. I installed the MBC and saw 13-14psi dropping to 12psi at the very top, it made 873whp/660wtq. This is with the full exhaust and Amazon style air filter in place. Once I get a decent EBC on there, in a few months, I will strap it again with more boost and see whether we can hit the 4 digits. Note on the wastegate pull, it was not revved all the way. it would have easily made another 20whp so I am happy. The car is revved to 8,000rpm! :)

Yesterday, threw the dragpack on and drove an hour to the track. I did a couple passes on wastegate which is my lowest HP setting. The track was just doing an "open track" session, meaning there was no active tree, no water box, no timeslips so I made these runs on the track but I used my Dragy. I couldn't really do a nice burnout like I wanted to because of no water. I am also thinking I rolled it off the line rather softly. First time launching this car aggressively. I pedaled it a touch on top of first when the boost came on and a little in second gear too when I could feel it loose grip. I was surprised how consistent the two runs ended up being. First runs with this car on boost. I will return on a TNT night when the track is actually prepped and see what it does. The track ET is usually a tenth or tenth-and-a half quicker so this were most likely 11.1 runs with ass 60 fts.

Went back to the track last night and made two hits. 10.6@135 and turned the boost up a little bit to run a 10.2@141. Car driven one hour to the track and one hour back. Drove on my QTPs. #streetcarenergy

9s are close, which is the goal for this car in complete street trim. Honestly, it was a 60 ft away but I am running on almost 5 year old Hoosiers and it was almost no prep at the track so I am not too mad about it.

Early this week, I went to the dyno after making a few changes. I switched my spark plugs (NGK 6510s) that are very popular with these cars for boost to a copper plug (NGK) that was recommended by some vets. The 6510s, my car didn't like them too much and was nipping them with a pretty safe tune. Anyway, back to the dyno with new spark plugs, I gapped them down a bit and turned the boost up from last time. Here are the results. ROFL :rocks::rocks:

Winter plans:
Cortex EBC
ARP wheel studs (for rear)
Add another catch can and/or relocate it. I hate fumes coming through my vents.
Probably remount or replace my current coolant recovery tank
New set of stickies (either Hoosier QTPs or MT ETRs biasply) - Have to be DOT

Wish list:
GT500 Cervini hood or fix/replace my current hood that has a couple ugly scratches.
Corbeau racing seats
80mm turbo (Turbosmart, Garrett, PTE, HPT, Apex, Pulsar, Borg Warner, Forced Performance etc) any of y'all seeing this can sponsor a brother....haha. Slide into the DM. I have room for a decal or two. ROFL :thumb::idontknow:
