I want to put a straight pipe on my 94 GSX. My concern is that I'm assuming it will throw a cel because of the rear o2 freakinf out about no cat, but then again my buddy's 96 has a straight pipe and he has no code... So I got the point where I'll just check codes every 3 days or so, when I got to thinking my car is obd1... The voltmeter thing just sounds like it would get confusing if multiple codes and don't wanna buy some 250 dollar mitaucode reader. I already have an obd2 scanner, would this adapter work and show my obd1 codes on my obd2? Would I even get a cel?

Not sure if that adaptor will work but 1gs do not have a rear O2 sensor. I've ran mine with a straight pipe with no codes thrown.

You will not get a cel. There are no sensors after the o2 in the o2 housing. 94 is obd1. 95 up is odb 2 even though it wasnt required until 96. That is also the reason there is a rumor 95s are obd 1. Old news. All 1g are obd1. All 2g are obd2.

Most shops are unaware that mitsu came out with obd2 in their 95 model year cars, I've gotten the same response and have corrected them, they didn't believe me until I show them the factory sticker under my hood that says OBDII.
