I plan on running homemade racefuel on a almost daily basis and plan on buying xylene/toulene in bulk. Once the chemicals are mixed with gasoline and other ingredients how longs with the fuel stay stable? I'm aware they made a fuel stabalizer for cars that are garaged during the winter. Why cant gasoline just stay without needing a fuel stabalizer? Does it need mixing? Will the race fuel turn to shit if I have a 1 year supply of it?

If you keep the fuel that you mix sealed up and out of the open air then you should be able to store it for long periods of time. I do have to question on why you would be buying both toluene and xylene in bulk to make your high octane fuel with. How exactly do you plan on mixing this stuff? Do you even know what xylene and toluene are? If not, then you might want to recosider mixing gas for your car and leave that up to the chemisry guys at the petroleum companies. I have the octane ratings of some common cycloalkane octane boosters in my chem book and I don't remember either xylene or tolune being one of them, whatever though. At least you picked aromatic compounds to through in your gas.

I've kept 117octane and 110 octane for years in a sealed 55 gallon drum, one has an electric gas pump on top. I've also kept the same gases in 5 gallon plastic pourers that you can pick up from any race gas distributor. Either way I've never had any problems.

The main thing is to keep it COOL and tightly capped(don't forget the thermal expansion space! ~5%)

I don't have this problem cause the "bulkiest" toluene I can find is gallon cans which I just dump in my tank at the gas bar.
