190hp 200tq vs 191hp 201tq. That's right, no peak gains really. BUT, some of the other gains were kind of interesting. At the stock boost level i was seeing 19lbs/min. The knock sensor was either dying or dead. So I couldn't tune with timing safely. But we did play with the fuel and got her dialed in great.
I don't know if my car is any different, but with the only mod being the FMIC, it was WAY lean stock. I tried the stock ecu and the dsmlink ecu zeroed out. No difference. The was as follows.
2500- 14:1
3000- 13.7:1
3500- 13.2:1
4000- 12.5:1
4500- 12:1
5000- 11.5:1
5500- 11.5:1
6000- 10.8:1
6500- 10.5:1
7000- 10.4:1
We got the car to hover around 11:1 and that seemed to work alright. So I don't know if it is just my car or what, but that myth about them being rich from the factory is way off. I mean my car is running 115%. Really really well for a stock car. I have a line coming from the boost source going right to the wastegate actuator.
The biggest differences were other places on the rom range.
All figures are positive gains over stock settings.
3000- 3hp 6tq
3500- 1hp 2tq
4000- 1hp 2tq
4500- 1hp 2tq
5000- 2hp 3tq
5500- 3hp 3tq
5800- 5hp 5tq
6000- 5hp 5tq
6200- 7hp 6tq
6400- 8hp 7tq
6500- 7hp 7tq
7000- 7hp 7tq
There is is ladies and gentleman. The first documented stock tuned car with DSMlink. At least that I can find. Keep in mind, the knock sensor doesn't play nice and this was just fuel tuning. A few degrees of timing and a few more horse could have been found. But, I saw as much as 26* advanced on the timing curve. With the low boost the ecu just gave timing all day. It was over 21* advance from 3800 on.
