Stock talon with fmic and intake, max psi?

Hey I Just picked up a 93 eagle talon tsi awd,
I installed big fmic (got it cheap), k&n air filter, greedy bov, boost guage.
That's all I have. Wats the max psi I can bring her up to without fuel pump and injectors??

How much with a bigger fuel pump?

Injectors?


I'm on the stock turbo btw

Your situation is that of a stock car. For a 1g the limitation of stock parts is the fuel system. Nothing else will let you raise airflow in any significant way. They might make your car more efficient and more powerful but you're still not going to do a whole lot. Every car is different so it is best to err on the safe side unless you have a logger. I would not suggest more than about 14psi and before I turned it up I would do a very serious boost leak test. Also have you gotten a proper aftermarket boost gauge? Your mods will serve you well once you get to the point where you have an upgraded fuel system. Generally you can run a 14b to the high teens reliably if you have the fuel to support it and an upgraded turbo into the low 20s before you have to worry about head studs and a new head gasket.

You basically cannot get away with upgrading one fuel component without also upgrading the other. A stock pump and injectors are fairly well matched for maximum flow so just do them both at the same time. 550cc injectors should do great with a 14b and will still be a lot of fun on a 16g. Of course once you have more fuel you will need to tune it. You have a couple of options. There is the SAFC which works well for mild setups such as 550s and a TD05H turbo (14b, 16g) but with an SAFC you should run the minimum amount of injector that meets your goals. It can handle up to about 650cc injectors but the bigger the injectors you have the greater the negative consequences you will run into because of the way that an SAFC works. Then there is the "other" category for tuning options. For a 1g these all require a socketed Eprom ecu and include Dsmlink, Jackal, Tunerpro, or a Keydiver chip. All of these will let you run literally any size injector that you want and also provide timing manipulation. They are more expensive but also future proof and are all very powerful tuning tools.
 
Just like Mork said, you can have a completly upgraded car, but if you leave the fuel untouched, you are limited to only a little higher than stock setting since the fuel trims are rich from the factory. 14 or 15 psi is the max you should go until you get some sort of logging software and larger injectors, fuel pump and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator (afpr) although not required for a 190lph fuel pump but still recomended. Before you go and do the fuel, what is your goal with the car. How much power do you want to make even if it's not for another 5 years. Buying what is needed ahead of time lets you save money and not buy twice.
