Stock radio prob.

I'm having a stock radio problem... I bought recently those cassette player things that have the connector at the end for an ipod or something but everytime i put the cassette in it doesnt go in.. Also I have burned some cds and some work all the way through an others dont, I'll get an E as Error message on the display. Im wondering if theres something I can do or whatnot? I really like having the stock radio ###, well...who really does have their stock radio?

Error means it wont play, I had as stock radio, that went away soon as i got the car.

try burning the cds on non rewritable cds and see if it makes a difference because on my computer its set up to finalize it a certain way depending on the disk i use, as for the tape a lot of times you just need to flip it and try it the other way or upside down

I would say pull it off and open it some times there is something inside that doesn't let the cd to run properly, and some times kids drops coke cans and some drips get into the radio and when it dries it gets some kind of sticky and that's all what the radio needs to malfunction.

well the original owners didnt have kids so doubt the coke can thing. I usually always use phillips cd-r's Iv burned a cd an it plays all the way thru but then this other cd i made doesnt....idk then againnnn...now that i think of it, i did convert the songs into wmv as opposed to having them as an mp3...maybe thats the problem! this sucks..i do want to just get a new cd player ### i wanna play stuff off my ipod and phone, but itd be so easy and cheap to just keep the stock radio the tape player thing pisses me off i wish i could turn it but the wire is sticking out that side...

I have a stock cassette radio in my Laser and I have no problems accepting AUX input from an external source through the CD jack, mounted on front of the radio face.

If you use one of those cassette adapters with the plug on the end to go into a playback device, you need the cassette play direction to be going forward-not reverse with the direction arrow on the display pointing towards the right.

The label of the cassette needs to be on top ..

Really, is to find a cable with both 1/8" stereo plugs on both ends .. that's a lot easier to where you have to touch the "CD" button on front of the radio after the cable is inbetween radio and playback device.

Don't burn CD's faster than 16x or they get unreliable in some players.
