I noticed the honeycomb grill where the air first pases through on my maf sensor has a dented area I guess from the previous owner not being careful with it. Can that be a problem like I think it is and I know a lot of guys remove theirs. Is that just held in there with 2 screws and if guys are removing theirs I should be able to find someone who could sell me just that piece, right?

Which honeycomb did you damage? If it is the lower smaller one you could remove that one and be ok. If it is the large upper one you will most likely have problems if you don't fix it or if you decide to remove it completely. I don't think anyone sells just the honeycomb sections, but you might be able to find someone that saved theirs. If not you will have to find a complete maf.

Yeah hate to buy a whole maf since all I need is that honeycomb thing. Car runs good but since I'm now boosting near the limits of stock injectors rather replace the honeycomb to be on the safe side. Btw am I better off removing it altogether and are there ANY downsides to doing that. I don't have a logger or fuel management.
