how much hp will stock internals hold?

how much will a fwd auto tranny hold?

Stock 7 bolt is good for 400+hp. but you have to be careful, at 400hp your kinda treadin a thin line. So make sure your tuning is top notch.

The fwd tranny is good for probally even more cause all you'll be doing is spinning the tires.

People have gone 500+hp on stock cast internals, but this is pushing the limits and treading on thin ice. Its not the best of idea's to go past 450hp at the crank, because its going to cost more then a set of forged rods, and pistons to fix the block that just had a rod shot threw it. Also people at this hit of hp are running leaner a/f ratio's, and this causes for higher combustion tempertures, and this can melt the weaker cast rods, and pistons.

I realize that you're relatively new to the site, but it will be a great help to yourself and others if you search for answers before starting a new thread. A quick search for "stock internals" in thread titles only will yield on the order of 30 different threads, all related to how much power can be safely made before upgrading internals.

First of all a 1g 6bolt can hold a little more than a 7bolt engine. A local down here in bakersfield dyno'd 520AWP on 1g stock internals W/O nitrous, and when he was racing a vette the next day he used nitrous and the whole motor let go! the car was totaled. Even his shepard tranny. If you get close to 500 hp beware! rebuilding an egine is better than reparing everything in your engine bay.

I would say at 400hp start upgrading...

Otherwise, it is scary...

I believe his question has been answerd. And Domanic is right a simple 2 second search would have revealed this. Or have you been to www.vfaq.com
