Anyone have an idea for using the stock downpipe, with like a small 90 elbow deal with the turbo? im trying to imagine it because im being cheap for now on the downpipe, later when i get a welder machine ill custom fab everything how i want.

Depends on your set up like manifold and turbo. You might be able to get it to work but it will be tight. Do you plan to cut the stock pipe down at all? That will give you a little more room room to work with.

was hoping not to cut, i can get 2 welds for 35$ at this place, i have to cut and measure myself and bring it in. Was hoping to not have to modify the stock downpipe, i can use just the 2 flanges and a pipe and get em welded to the turbo connects to the stock downpipe. im using t3 t4 and log manifold

Yea that might work. If you have all of the parts it would be easier to see if it will work or not. Unless someone has done it on here your kinda on your own.

Just take a day and bolt the stuff on see what you need to do to get it to work. Could be simple or you might need a little more. I dont think you will know untill you give it a shot.

Good luck man!

no, the down pipe, not the headers, ill upload a pic in a bit, but basically i have a log style, and the turbo exhaust comes ut horizonatal right above the downpipe, meaning it needs to turn like 90 degrees to go into the downpipe. I was wondering if anyone had done this, or had pics, or ideas. Basiclaly i need to make an elbow to connect the turbo to stock downpipe. 2.5 inch flanges so pipe has to be 2.5 around to weld, so cutting a pipe at an angle wont work i dont think.

When I turbo'd my rs, I used the majority of my stock downpipe and added a 90* to it at the flange. There was a little more modification but yes it works.

you will want to tack everything together on the car, than pull it off and weld. When you just measure and weld outside of the car it will usually not fit.
