Hi guys Im having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to use my stock infanty amp on my after market radio! I did this back in 2006 with my first gst but im lost to how I did it. I got one of these wires here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stereo-Radi...its=Model:Eclipse&hash=item4cf7f549fc&vxp=mtr it has a plug and 4 rca hookups so I plug them into back of the radio and it should send music to the amp then to my speakers? The way I got it now im running everything from the radio and it gets distorted when I turn it up so with that amp I believe it would sound way better.

Not sure how you currently have it wired but if you have a decent head unit you can just get the non premium sound harness from best buy and wire it like any other car then unplug the amp under the seat. You lose your dash speakers but I just did this last week and it sounds better to me with no distortion.

alrighty I figured it out I was trying to use the cd changer cord instead of the amp plug didn't realize there was 2 cables. Using the stock amp makes the system sound way better I also got a sub and I used speaker wire to rca converter from Wal-Mart and wired them into the stock wires. U wouldn't think it would make a difference but it dose the subs hit a lot harder then when they did bypassing the stock amp.

Infinity amps are tricky some time. Check with pac audio and see if they have a amp interface harness. otherwise use a amp bypass harness. this will give you power and speaker connections at the radio and usually a harness that allows you to disconnect the amp and connect those two harnesses together. I've done plenty of systems in my time. You may want to try to use a high level output to the rca instead of a low level.
