Aftermarket Amplifier problem... oDD

Ok, i have a sonymx630 head unit with a dhd power cruiser amp(750 watts i think) i have it wired correctly, this is my 20th install with this sort of things. I ran the wires(power, rca, remote) through the center console straight through the center console to my trunk where i have my amp mounted on my rear seat and my 10 inch sub in the tiny trunk.

Heres my problem, amp only works when the radio is on, however when a cd is playing the amp power lights darkens. I check the voltage to the amp, and it reads a strong 14.5 to the amp. Has anyone had this problem, or could it be my head unit thats @#$$ed up? thanks

It sounds like you hooked up a power antenna wire from the receiver to the amp instead of the remote wire on the receiver.

Try finding the remote wire on the headunit. If you can't find it, wire it to the cig lighter or something that is connected to the ignition.

FYI - Power wires and signal wires are to be ran on different sides of the vehicle (as far away from each other as possible) to prevent signal interference.

That is what it sounds like to me. Just find another place to connect where there is 12v when the key is on like DGajre777 said.

yup you went to antenna,, cahnge it to the other blue wire, or connect it to the red wire behind the radio...
