ok i have a stock galant vr4 when i got the car there was no turbo setup so i picked up a br 20g turbo with florida pefomance tubular manifold with tial 38 mm waste gatei also have a performance sx fpr im putting on the car ...the problem im having is what size injectors do i have to get and what fuel pump do i need???i will be running the car on the stock ecu til i save up for the dsm link v3...and will the stock maf be ok or what should i get??? sorry for all the questions i just switched over from honda LOL very different ....any info will help

I don't have any exeriance in the 20g, but you need to "adjust" the ecu for larger injectors. I'd say take the dsmlink first, its less hassle getting the injectors to work properly.

To run the injectors you'll need to fully support the 20G, you need some sort of ECU compensation. I'd say get 750cc injectors and a Walbro 255lph pump, but you might be able to get away with a 190lph. To run those injectors you'd need at minimum a MAF-T, but better would be a SAFC, and better yet would be DSMLink.

Buy the biggest injectors you can. You wont be able to install them till you have dsmlink but you wont have to upgrade again. I made the mistake of buying 680cc injectors right before I bought link and then I had to upgrade again soon after that.

Maybe you leave your 20g in your garage and buy a small and cheap 14b until you have all supporting mods (walbro, injectors and dsmlink).

What about intercooler?

Really your limiting factor will be what you're going to be tuning with. In NO way would I run a 20g without at least an Apexi SAFC. The SAFC is really only good to 650cc injectors. With that said, the largest injectors would be the 650s with an SAFC. The fuel pump can be the 255 if you already have a FRP. I have a brand new safc II that I have sitting in my garage since I just bought DSMLink v3 before I ever decided to use it. PM me if interested.

Buying the largest injectors possible is a terrible idea without good tuneablity. Who needs 1600cc or 2150cc injectors anyways... shep and a few others. I had an 85% duty cycle on my 680cc injectors with my 20g @ 24psi. 750cc should be large enough for the average needs. Buy dsmlink or if you have an eprom ecu get jeff at KEYDIVER Chips - DSM ECU Tuning to burn you a chip. If you go with either dsmlink or a chipped ecu you can move up in injector size if you'd like but for your 20g, 750cc is good. Also a walbro 255, a good fuel pressure regulator and 2g maf or 3" gm w/ translator (1g maf's suck) would be what is needed to run the 20g the right way.

i am getting the dsmlink v3 without a dought....

so get
3inch gm maf with maf-t
walbro 255 fuel pump
at least 750cc injectors and i would be good on about 20 psi of boost

ok thanks sorry for that LOL im a noob at dsms im a former honda head ......so should i get the 2g maf or just get the gm 3inch maf without translator???

you need just the ECMLINk with a gm 3" maf sensor and the cable to run the gm maf...u might need to add inlet temp sensor and air pressure sensor to add to the V3...:D:D

Being from the honda world, DSMap may be more up your alley. As you know speed density is awesome and as you may or may not know, MAF sucks big time.

ECMlink is also a very good option. Bare minimum I'd get is a keydriver chip burned for your injectors, an AFC, and a 2g MAF. By the time you've done that you'll be able to have DSMap or 'link and have a lot more tuning power.

Getting big @ss injectors is a very good idea. I'd go with 1000's, as you may want to run E85, and they could probably hang with a 20g on moonshine. The 1000's will run like stock with 'link, map, or a chip tune.

Well the whole point here is that he's getting the tuning system first and then looking into injectors. I would say to go with 1000s. That way you will never have to buy new injectors again if you upgrade and you're capable of running e85 as well. With Link or anything along those lines you can run 1000s like stock.
