Stock 3G Infinity CD player in 2G GSX?

Would it be a direct plug in replacement for a stock 2G tape deck? Only reason I ask is I want to keep the stock look, but I have no use for a tape deck (like most people these days). And I found a stock 3G Infinity cd for $25 out of an 03 Eclipse....

unless someone can verify, you will need to check the harness. if they are same size, obviously you cant just plug it in without verifiyting the pin locations and what they are for.

also it gets complicated if you have the infinity amp, if those match up and the proprietary din.

at this point it just isnt worth it when for a few bucks more you can get an aftermarket deck with removable face.
