Ive searched already and found nothing.

My front suspension on my 2g is really worn out. Makes a new noise every day. I want to do a complete suspension over hall. I dont know where to buy NEW suspension. I do not want to go to the stealership as money is kind of an issue.

Does anyone know where to buy good quality parts?

I buy from rock auto a bit. My experiance... Same rule applies as it does on E-bay or any where else... You get what you pay for. I wouldn't buy the cheep brands or anything made from a company you cant look up on the INTERNET or aren't already familiar with, especially with suspension components. You might be able to save a couple of bucks if you can get wheel bearings with out the hubs in them, and have the old bearings pressed off the hub and the new bearings pressed on. Usually it is only a couple of bucks to have a machine shop do that. but I would call around first and ask what the going rate is for that service before you spend the money.

If it were me...

Ball joints = RAYBESTOS, or ACDELCO
Tierod ends =BECK/ARNLEY, RAYBESTOS, or ACDELCO
bearings = TIMKEN, BECK/ARNLEY, or RAYBESTOS
bushings = aftermarket urethane but if you aren't performance minded and don't like to over build the hell out of everything like me, then RAYBESTOS will be fine.

Beck/arnley have good products then? I see thats what rock mostly carries.

What about the upper ball joints and latteral arms that have joints on them?

I have a full energy suspension kit that I was going to install on the new suspension. Just need to find out where and whats good.

Mike you seem to know what your talking about, where and what brand would you buy if you were going to re do the whole front suspension

For the straight arm I would go with either the Raybestos professional grade or the ACdelco or Moog... all about the same quality. As for the curved arm Deeza or Mevotech if you want to save a couple of bucks, Moog if you want to get name brand quality.

I had do do some looking on line at the companys... I would shy away from auto extra anything i cant even get to their website and from what i can get from google they are a web based company they don't have anything in any stores like Orileys or Autozone... Not that I have seen anyway. Dorman. I haven't gotten any hard parts from them yet but I do like their CV boots, thick rubber and the better of the two cheep clamps for CV boots. Deeza I am not sure about, they have only been in business sense the 1990s but if their parts are anything like their website then they are "OK"... Better than china made parts anyway. the Mevotech look to be about the same quality as Deeza only big differences are they have been in business a few years longer and are made in Canada where Deeza are manufactured in Turkey. Personally I think I would spend the extra couple of bucks and get the Moog parts. Moog is a devision of Federal-Mogul and apparently they have been using Moog ball joints in nascar for over 40 years and are an official sponser... Not that I care about nascar or anything, but if their ball joints can put up with the abuse of nascar then they are good enough for me.

I recommend against blindly throwing parts at the car. What you need to do is actually do a full inspection. It's entirely possible that a single $20 part can restore your suspension feel and eliminate noises. But we won't know that until you do a proper inspection.
Unless you like the work and you've got money to burn - I'm betting some of those parts are still fully functional.

Are you aware of a specific component that is worn or damaged?

Where can I find these brands? Rock only has the beck/arnley

Have you tried the internet?

Let us know how that inspection goes. It would be unfortunate to spend hundreds of dollars and plenty of man hours needlessly. You could spend a couple hundred or more replacing your lower arms only to find out it's your upper ball joint that's causing the trouble.

Im not only replacing my suspension because of noise. Its something Ive always wanted to do. Like I said above I have an energy suspension kit that I want to Install, and this is the perfect time to do it while my car is down for the new turbo install.

This is an overhaul that is going to happen whether its this winter or the next. Might as well do breaks while im at it.

can we get a complete list of all parts needed to replace every suspension part?

Are you just sticking with OEM parts, springs and shocks etc..?

Are you talking about replacing all steering/suspension components..?

Do you want the list to contain part numbers, or just a name listing? Are you looking for every little item (like a breakdown of all parts included in the shocks and springs like bump stops, upper hats, etc.) or just a major list (like shocks, springs, sway bars, etc.)?

name and part numbers would be great but I'd settle for just a list with names, divided into front and rear sections. I would like a list of everything involving everything that should be replaced if one is doing a complete revamp of a 14+ suspension. Shocks, springs, and swaybar are optional items unless damaged. Also shocks, springs, and swaybar will be replaced with performance replaced once everything is 100% in working order.

Front
Lateral arm
Compression arm (for ball joint only)
Upper control arm
Knuckle kit (knuckle, lateral arm, and compression arm) - is cheaper than purchasing both control arms together, and may even be cheaper than just the compression arm by itself
Crossmember (subframe) bushings
Sway bar end links
Sway bar bushings

Rear
Trailing arm assist link
Trailing arm
Lower control arm
Upper control arm
Knuckle (for bushings only)
Crossmember (subframe) bushings
Differential bushings
Sway bar end links
Sway bar bushings

*Keep in mind some stuff is for AWD platform only.

If I think of any more (or someone else posts additional items), I'll add it to this list. I won't be adding part numbers as there are too many variables with some items.

Not only did I fail to see a clear reply to this by the OP, but I have no idea what the goal is. But I suppose it's useful to other people to keep the aftermarket for DSM going, so I'm not complaining. :)
