It's about time STM has a 1g drag car!

First up, we'd like to thank the guys at Fuel Injector Clinic for setting us up with a set of FIC BlueMAX 2150 injectors:

We plan on cutting this little girl up, complete gutting, plexi-glass windows and one Kirkey seat. All-out, balls to the wall: FUN. :hellyeah:

As we do more to the car we'll keep you updated, but in the meantime, please feel free to ask questions and give us your imput!

If, along the way, we find some pieces that need improving, STM just may end up with a few more, new parts for the 1g crowd!

This car will, indeed, be cleaned up as the STM Ricer is, so you can literally LICK the engine bay of this Tin Can! :sneaky:

ON TO THE PICS!

Pushed her in the shop last night (1-11-10)

See anything you like?

That car looked way too nice to be gutting. Should have left that one on the street an gutted a clunker. Just my 2 cents. Cant wait to see how it turns out though.

I agree that looked like a beautiful car waiting to be restored....I had a shell that was just as clean minus the interior you could have HAD to keep that car from getting gutted (i wanna say destroyed but I know it will end up being a beautiful race car) just a shame to be seeing the clean examples go this way.

Truth is, This one will work very well for us. The less time and money I have to spend making it rot/dent/scratch free the better.

Yep. How true. So you think she'll be ready in time for the SO?

Looks nice. What are you guys doing with the leathers?

the SUV above your last pic has the weirdest rotors I'v ever seen.
Love the car though, movin right along..

great build keep it up. great progress

If its going to be a drag car and your not going to keep the headlight assemblies please send me a pm as long as there not seized up.

Damn, couldn't you find a crappier shell to strip. That front bumper looks awesome, can you get a shot of the whole car?

I didn't notice where you are located but I need a mess of interior parts. Headliner is probably almost impossible to ship but I need one if you can. I also need the interior windshield post trim. and all the plastic in back. I would give you like a $100 plus pay for the shipping if you want to do it. I am in Minneapolis, MN. let me know. Thanks. Oh and by the way looks like a nice start to a fine race car.

If anyone wants parts please give us a call at the shop. The number is 585-730-4314. Anything that came out of this thing is for sale.

To everyone who's said the car is ''too nice to gut'', I have a 90 that I thought was in good shape but wasn't. I've spent WAY too much trying to get it in good enough shape to modify reliably! You should always start with the nicest possible car you can because you don't end up chasing your tail in circles fixing the small stuff. No one seems to mind when someone takes a brand new car and mods it to hell and back... I say be thankful for the 1g representation by another great vendor. Good luck with the build guys!!!
