1G Still having cam sensor problems

6 bolt swapped into 2g.

We now have a running and driving car that has no boost leaks and it's finally doing well under its own power. However, we have to have the Cas fully advanced in order for the car to run/idle. If we adjust it to the spec's that I keep seeing with 5° advanced as 'stock' it will not start.

Why is this happening?

I do have an eprom ecu that has no tune on it.

Is it just an EPROM ecu from a 95? Did you swap plug wires and pins?

Yes we did. So far we have minor issues that are able to be driven with such as
1) Cas fully advanced to run/idle the car
2) while driving it will occasionally start running like ass, my fuel ratio spikes up to 20+, push in the clutch and let rpm drop and re-engage and it's fine.
3) in first gear we hit a rough patch that feels like a fuel cut at 10psi, the car will push past it but it's unknown as to why it's doing it. 2nd-5th I hit 16psi which is what we have it set to and there is no issue
4) I feel like I am spooling late. I have 10psi at 3k and full boost at 4k.

I do have oversized 8:3:1 pistons and I'm not sure how they will affect the drivability of the car. And lastly, yes it is an eprom from a 95.
