I havent replaced my spark plugs in a while as my 95 Talon Tsi's spark is the ONE thing I can trust. The spark plugs are a larger size than "normal" and I got the right size, got on the spark plug, turned, and now the socket won't come out. I've turned, twisted, pounded, taken the valve cover off, welded an extension to the socket, and fired .45 cailber bullets at the area to no avail. I am open to ANY suggestions. Please let me know if you need any more details...

It would be easier to do this when the aluminum head is COLD, as everything would contract. If this makes a difference....

Thanks for the read.

WTF are you doing shooting your engine. Seriously though, is your socket stuck against the walls or is just stuck to the ceramic part of the plug? Did you actually use the right socket (13/16 with a rubber grommet inside) to remove the plugs?

If the socket is stuck against the wall then you will need to re-tighten the plug to get it off. The reason being is that you have probably twisted the plug in there and it is angled out causing the plug to pin the socket against the wall. If that is the case then tightening the plug will release the socket from the plug.

If the rubber grommet is what is holding the socket in place then all you have to do is go by a parts store and get a rubber grommet tool ( hardened metal hook) they come in different sizes and one of them will fit inside the back of the socke where the extension entered. Just insert and pull. After you get it out take some di-electric grease and lube the grommet then try again.

you could always try good ole wd-40 and work the plug back and forth until it came out. try not to strip the head though ;o and pending on how much wd-40 you use you might need to vacuum it out of your cylinder and/or oil flush
