OK, I'll try to explain this the best I can. I changed the spark plugs in my talon a couple weeks ago. When I tried to put the new plug in the #3 cylander the plug was very resistant to go in. It looked like it was going in straight and not cross threading at all. I got the plug about halfway in before I decided to pull it out and check things out. When I pulled out the plug the very tips of the threads looked like they were rounded slightly, in other words the tips were no longer pointy. I tried 2 other plugs and had the same result with both. When I threaded it back in, the first half of the way went smoothly until it started getting tight again. Well, I went ahead and threaded it in the rest of the way and torqued it down properly. The car runs fine but I'm worried that I may have stripped the hole in the head permanently. If I pull the plug back out is there any way to check if the hole is stripped? Also, is there a way to clean the threads in the head incase there is like a little shard of metal causing the tips of the threads to round off?
