I recently came across this picture and have been trying ever since to search for what it is, or if it's home made:

I would like to do something like that myself, do you figure its a bought piece or made? If made, what material..? I'm thinking properly prepped and painted wood may be the best? It's looks great being flush like that... thanks guys,

That looks like a custom, probably home made piece. As for what it is, it looks like a sheet of high density plastic, which you can get from eBay.

looks sick. i love the simplicity of the 1g. i would say custom tho. im sure you can make you own. or search in the the vendors to find an AC VENT GAUGE SET, AND/OR a RADIO BEZEL GAUGE SET.

Here's my setup, similar just not flush. Paid ~$9.00 off Ebay. You could have the gauges on the top or bottom. I have some better pics but I haven't uploaded them yet.

When I bought my talon it came with the outer shell of a carbon fiber hood that flew off of my buddy's Spec V at 140. Scratched but still in good shape, I cut that thing up to make everything from a spark plug cover to keychains. And yes, I also madea DIN blockoff and a center vent blockoff. If you cant find a beat up hood look on ebay. They have lots of different sized pieces of CF that have already been cleared. They're made by Hayame.

Thought I would update this thread.. I happened upon this piece when I was making an order of other things.. I just got mine delivered last night, well made piece. And it's available at extremepsi, search for 1g bezel, and they have different options available...
