Steering rack help

I'm wanting to pull my steering rack out of my 90 gsx that was converted from power steering to manual the wrong way. I know someone with a spare 1.8 liter 1g. I'm wondeirng if the power steering pump, lines, etc and rack would all bolt in on my car?

I don't mean to poop on your thread but let me get this straight.. you wanna take a manual steering rack and convert to power? Why? I would kill for a REAL manual rack! Then I could get rid of the p/s pump and all associated hardware.

Was it a bad install or something?

Yea. If the 1.8 that they have is power, then all the lines and what not will work. And he said it was a power, and converted to a manual. So they dumped the lines and looped the one main line back into the rack to make it manual. Which is the cheap way of doing the mod.

I don't understand that. I love power steering, it obviously makes steering easier. Anyone care to explain why everyone seems to hate power steering? I'm trying to wrap my mind around this one still

i love my manual rack. it gives me a good excuse to not let the woman drive it...

If you have a girl that can't drive a stick in the first place, what's the reason for a manual rack?
