Ok I got the car to start today and it stays on as long as you don't try to go anywhere it sat and idle for 5 minutes with no problems. When i started the car it maid the loud scratching sound and it sounds like its coming from the drive side of the motor. Last night when it died it wouldn't start but the starter sounded like it was just spinning and not making a solid connection with the flywheel. Also the car is spitting a black liquid out of the exhaust at idle. I'm not entirely sure how i can describe the sound any better but it starts and runs fine as long as you don't put it in gear and try to drive it around? I checked the wiring for the cam angle sensor and that all fine but i noticed a crackling sound that I'm not familiar with also.

so when you start in and keep it in neutral it runs fine but when you engage a gear it dies? if so then your clutch is most likely locked up and the black fluid coming out of the exaust is most likely oil, probably a seperate issue. your throw out bearing could also be bad, try starting the car in first gear. Does it stall when you push in the clutch or after you push in the clutch right when you engage a gear?
