So i bought this gst with a 6 bolt swap and i was told that it needed a new ignition coil so i bought a new ignition coil and no luck. Bought new plugs and wires and checked each plug individually and i have spark on 2,3 but no spark on 1,4. Check all wiring and everything checked out good. Tried 3 different ignition coils and still have same problem... What would cause one to work and other not to? Leaning towards ecu what do you guys thing.

Have u checked your ignition controle module?

Also have u checked the wiring for the coils them selves because the two that arent firing might have a bad ground. I had this same problem once and there was a gounding issue. It took some time to figure out

So after looking around and checking a bunch of things. I come to power transistor. The plug has been swapped before. Do you need to run the 1g for a 6 bolt swap? Anyway where i unplugged it whoever wired it up did a horrible job at it. I barely pulled on the wires and they came apart. Gonna rewire the plug for the power transistor and go from there.

Thanks everyone for the input hopefully this is the problem.

Just read about the power transistors their the same part number for 91-99. So ill try rewiring this up and replacing the transistor.

So i got my new power transistor today and got it on but still no luck firing. After looking at the harness a little bit more. Seems whoever owned this car before didn't do a very good job at wiring things. Tons of splices all through the harness and a bunch of loose connections. Gonna try to locate a harness to replace the one in the car.

Well had a friend let me borrow their ecu to test it in my car. Still only getting spark on 2 of the plugs. Tested my transistor on his car and it fired right up with no problem at all. Also checked my ignition coils on his car and they were good.
