ECMlink Starting DSMlink

I get my ECU back friday and I wanted to know what I should do first when I run DSMlink. I skipped getting an safc and went to this so I am new on what I should do and what I shouldnt. I was going to go to my mechanic but he is getting too expensive and will be worse when he gets his new mustang dyno. He will charge somthing like $125hr for dyno use and tuning. Not much else here in bumb #### nebraska

Log into the dsmlink forums and read the tunning a 2g dsm ecu.pdf file thats under the downloads thread. You also may want to read the dsmlink manual which can be download from dsmlink.com

Get a wideband o2 sensor in the car, then tuning with dsmlink will be a breeze.

go to the dsmlink forums.. all your questions would be better answered there..

i personally just plugged it in and drove it to see the difference.. the preset settings that you picked when you purchased it (if truely accurate to your setup) runs pretty decent as a base line.. do a quick first log of a few 3rd gear WOT pulls, read the tutorials on DSMLink forums.. and do some street tune, and post your log if requesting opinions, help, etc.

you won't be dissapointed by your purchase.. since you didn't come from an SAFC.. (like most).. after your familiar with your DSMLink, go ride in a person who is running an AFC and have them give you a run down of what it can do and how they tune, and tell us your review

if you bought it directly from them at dsmlink they should email you a username and all that. I got mine the day I sent in payment so that I could get started on it. www.dsmlink.com/forums is the site though.
