First thing that comes to mind is to build some sort of a bracket that will hold starter on the engine.
Trace the starter plate onto some 1/4" thick steel sheet and cut it out. Should be able to bolt it to the motor and attach the starter to it.
Might get away with just some brackets made of flat stock and square tubing, just keep in mind that the starter is pretty powerful and torquish, don't underestimate it.

Short answer is that there is no easy way to do it. As mentioned it could be done with some fabrication, but will it be worth it. But as they say, "where there's a will there's a way." Just seems like it would most likely be a lot of effort.
