I have a galant rs engine in my 2g that I just got done swapping.
First thing that happened was the alternator charge wire is always grounded. Meaning every time I went to hook the battery up it arched and threw melted terminal lead at me. I disconnected the alt. all together so I could see if everything else works and so far everything has. I don't here a fuel pump and the starter turns over but won't engage. I've had this car apart for the last 11 months moving the starter and fusible link around a bit. The alternator was fine when I took it off the 7 bolt. I don't know why the alt. would be constantly shorting.
