starter griding noise

i have searched but i have found nothing i have installed a fidanzza lightweight 6bolt flywheel and everytimg i start the car i get a horrible grinding noise i tried to space it with 2 wacshers but it didnt make it any better i have tried differant starters and i have pulled the tranny a couple of times and no difference

Are you 100% sure you did not get a FWD flywheel? Compare the teeth on the old one and new one and you will see a difference.

i got the flywheel from extremepsi and i looked at the part number and it was an awd starter i think the starter and the flywheel are not matching up very well i have tried new starters and some result do u think i need to space the starter with some washers?
