Sounds normal, for a modified car anyway. If the car was stock you would barely notice anything. The car wont drive well for a couple hundred miles while the ECU modifies the default fuel trims to make the car run the way its supposed to.

That's what I've heard as well. I've really only driven it a total of four days (strictly to and from work) since I unhooked the battery the first time. Maybe a total of 60 miles altogether. I'm gonna give it some more time before I jump to conclusions that anything needs replacement. Thanks.

Hi,

Did you finish the rewiring? If so, maybe with the added voltage to your pump your running a higher volume of fuel. If you don't have a regulator you might run too much fuel pressure causing it to be rich and causing these issues. Possible other reason, if you are running a s-afc or simular, those settings might have been reset to default after loosing it's power from the disconnected battery. And now not correcting the a/f mixture. Other then this, check your vacuum and electrical connections. This problem doesn't really sounds from battery disconnecting. I have a 95 gsx and many times I disconnected the battery and never had this issue. Can you test those sensors that were making those codes come on?

a walbro 190 wont overrun the regulator even if it is rewired. A Walbro 255 or Denso Supra pump would though. If you're concerned about your fuel pressure you can pick up one of those B&M guage kits for like $30.

Rewiring the pump is a good idea. I used 10 awg wire, but would probably use 8 awg if I had to do it again.

i say run another log since you have a logger
and see what happend maby try a diffrent ecu ;)

and finish the rewire

if you need help let me know
