One day as i'm pulling into my driveway and the car dies. I turn it back on and the car starts idle surging so I check the idle set in ecmlink and it's set to 950. So I turn the car on and it's idle surging again so I turned it off and let it sit for an hour or so.

Car now cranks but will not start up (starter/battery is good)

The car will only start when I spray starter fluid
-checked fuel pump
-fuel pressure at rail
-new fuel filter
-im getting spark (cas must be good if im getting spark & fuel pump primes)
-new spark plugs/wires
-timing is correct
-inspected the valves by removing the ex manifold
-12v on all injector pins
-injectors click when I connect a battery to them
-did ohm test on ics
-fuses look good
-cel turns on for 5 seconds then turns off (connects to ecmlink)

Im running out of ideas:cry::cry:

update: when i keep the car running with started fluid (i know, its not good)
the Injduty % (under ecmlink) turns on for a split second but then turns off, even though the car is running on started fluid. Im also getting no CEL CODES. :barf:

If you have compression, spark, fuel pressure & cam timing is correct...
Does it have injector pulse?
Have you tested for it?
You can get a cheap 'noid light' to check for pulse while cranking.

Sounds like fuel pump. Did u verify pressure with a gauge or did u just assume since it had fuel coming out that it was enough? Had a pontiac grand am that i put a fuel pump in and the next day wouldnt start. Noticed i had pressure at the rail but decided to hook up a gauge and only had 15-20 psi. Faulty pump outa the box. Could also be a cam sensor problem not triggering the injectors.

If the car was running correctly before you won't just suddenly lose compression. I'd question those results. That's being said you need fuel and spark and air. Which one of the three are you not getting or not getting in teh correct proportion? Several possibilities. ISC letting in too much air. Biss screw blew out in the few minutes before you parked (seen this one before). boost leak, most commonly IC pipe.
You really should be able to rule out fuel pump, injectors themselves and such as it was running within the last day. That leaves wiring and controls. Only other possibility is it jumped time at startup, did you look? At least put it at TDC and check the cam timing.
