Have a 91 talon tsi..baught it with what the seller informed me a fadanza lightweight flywheel.. when I try to start it there is a screeching metal on meyal noise as it tries to turn over...guessing some teeth are bad replaced the starter at first...old start teeth still good an the new starter makes same noise :/ any suggestions??

you could have gotten a awd flywheel not a fwd.
 
It is awd so you mean,just the reverse. ..fwd instead of awd?..and so im correct there not interchangable?

It was on the car when I purchased it

An as always seller claimed it ran
 
if there is a fwd fly on a awd the flywheel should be pushing on the bell housing and not letting to motor turn so if that's the case you could just try and rotate the motor by hand if it does not spin that's probably the problem. No they are not interchangable the awd fly is smaller
