DKS lifter shims.

I just baught a set of dks 264 272s from a member on here and I was wondering how i check to see if i need lifter shims. I tried contacting ffwd but because I did not buy from them they will not help me. I have herd that if you have had a few valve jobs done that you do not need them and i just had one done. this is what i was told " if you do need them then you could go to the hardware store and get those shims (essentially washers) in a 18-8 #10 size stainless. They are .030 thick (most important to be it that thick)"I just need to know what to mesure to see if I need them. Thanks for any help in advance.

He refused to help you because you bought them used? That's kind of stupid since he is technically selling used cams to begin with. I think somebody posted a copy of the instructions that come with the cams. I'll see if I can find it.

He told me that the seller should of given me the instructions and the shims. Those are bolth long gone.

well i can not find this information anyware so i am just going to put in .025 washers and see what hapends.
