Alright so I just did a turbo swap on my 95 TSi AWD and it was successful. No problems when me and my father test drove it for awhile two days ago.. but I was going to drive around the block today and when I was backing out my RPMs where fine then I shifted to drive and my RPMs dropped and the car stalled. I started it right back up with no problems and put the car back in my driveway with no problems. Then I let the car idle while I went inside and when I came out to drive it; The RPMs where a little on the low side but never stalled. And I went to mess with it again and it was stalling bad when I went from reverse to drive and or drive to reverse.

Note my talon is automatic and the dumb ass owner before me still drove the car around with the blown turbo in it (dont know if that could cause something but could be).

Any help would be highly appreciated. Im new to the DSM world so don't be harsh for my lack of knowledge in the dsm world.

When your shifting to d or r does it occasionally shift a little later than expected or kinda shunt? I had a galant that had that issue it turned out to be one of the shift solenoids going out, the valve would sometimes stick open and cause the bump and occasional stall. It wouldn't be a bad place to start looking imo. There's a pretty simple test it's not exactly on the healthy side but I have used it to unstick the solenoids. If you put the car in reverse and push down the brake and run it up to like 2k rpms for a few seconds it will cause them to free up. The car won't overpower the brakes but for the sake of doing so do it somewhere safe. It may or may not fix it, in my case it resolved the issue for a few days and it would be back again
