Ok here it is the ssautochrome 3" turboback exhaust that many been asking about. I finally was able to install it with a huge help of fellow members on this site :dsm:

Anyways here are pics of what it looks like compared to the stock exhaust:

Im not here to post a tech guide because kenamond already posted his :) Its really easy install, just takes so much time LOL. We had a problem with the O2 sensor and it wouldnt come off, we tried everything from PB blaster to using mallot and nothing. We managed to get the O2 out once the entire exhaust was removed. We just cut the wires off, of course I got a check engine light. We will fix that soon though. Other than that we had to make holes bigger in the DP flange, heres comparison:

It took a while but it finally got in there:

Other problem was the hanger was built on the wrong side, I think kenamond said manufacturer had to do that or something, he just twisted it the other way so it can get on the rubber hanger here a pic showing it on the wrong side:

Other than that everything seemed to fit in properly. Just time consuming. The muffler is real close to the bumper though, dont know how we can fix that, atleast it sticks out a bit. It also real close to the carrier bearings/driveshaft. Here are pics of it installed:

As for the sound, it is not ricey, it actually sounds nice and deep, but it is kind of loud, like kenamond stated. I might change muffler, but maby in the future as I dont have any money now. You instantly notice a huge difference in power. :) And all of you been asking for a vid clip, I have 4 comparing next to my friends apexi turboback exhaust.

Their FMIC did break that barrier. Ill admit Iv bought stuff off of ebay too, some of it good some of it not. But it's hard to beat the sound of an Apexi system, but then again none of this really matters anyway, cause when it all comes down to it, its just a 3 inch pipe. Im sure the power gains would be the same with any system, since their all pretty much the same. LOL. Its a good find, Ill agree. And your right LOL you shouldn't be within 10ft of a DSM if a hanger in the wrong spot is a big deal. Ill still take my Apexi though. Again its a great find and if I had another Dsm in need of an exhaust, Id end up getting that system just because of the price.

The only negative about Apexi, which turned me off from buying it is that the resonator it uses is a real restriction, it necks down to 2" I believe or somewhere along that line, totally defeating its purpose for a 3" exhaust. Which is why Apexi is so quiet.

Yeah yeah yeah...STFU hater.:D Your $250 exhaust is now the same price of an Apexi system with all those added muffler/resonators/labor. :D:)ROFLROFL

That exhaust has waaay too many bends in comparison with most of the other good catbacks floating around. Buschur's catback alone only has 2 bends which really amazes me when you see something like this exhaust with all those bends.

hey bad ass exhaust. i was against that company after a few faulty items they gave me but they replaced it all for free so i have no complaints after the new stuff arrived. good luck!

Well It sounds good for the price but i have had a friend with the megan racing exhaust and a friend with the apexi exhaust.. They were both put on around the same time about a year ago... the megan racing exhaust still looks shiny as hell to this day... but the apexi pipes are starting to rust already.... i have heard both good and bad things about ss autochrome but i just wonder, how long will this exhaust remain shiny and nice before it rust 2 hell???

Nice write-up and pics/vids of the exhaust ! Sounds good. I agree with barry, the apexi system is so nice, deep yet nice and quiet at the same time, gotta love it. The 95 gst im purchasing next year in january has the apexi n1 3" turboback, and when we took it for a test drive down the street 1 block away, we stepped on it, and when i came back i asked my friend if he heard us and he said nothing at all, LOL. But i love the hks hi-power tone, so unfortnately the apexi system is goin' out soon. I'll be selling it cheap so if anyone wants to give me reasonable offers let me know.
Keep up the good work jm, i have to give you props for keeping your gixxer clean and look forward to a dsm meet soon with you and barry.

Thanks, yea let me know when.

Also to keep this updated, well since the first post I added a Vibrant Dual Tip 3.5in Muffler and I added a Magnaflow 5" round resonator. So far the difference in incredible. It is real quiet now and Im happy :)

Here is before (clip from 1st page):

Here is after:

Now the before sounded real aggressive and nice at first, but then it sounded real annoying with so much drone and rasp after a while. My goal wasnt a loud exhaust, so then I did the modifications to the exhaust and made it quiet but still aggressive on high rpm. :D

eh i have to say im liking the before vid better. but thats just me i like my cars loud. my last car the exhaust fell off and i loved it LOL. plus you lost the deap rumble that so many guys are after. when i have enough money to do exhaust im just getting the turboback from these guys and not changing a thing ;)

yea it got so quiet. i just want it to be a tad bit quieter, putting on a cat and another muffler should be fine for me. so far i have driven with 500 miles and still sounds mean like my vid i posted. still doesnt sound raspy or anything.

Thanks for criticism guys, good thing you guys think it is too quiet hehe atleast now I know it is perfectly how I wanted it. I sort of wanted it like stock video, but I guess it impossible with 3 in piping. Well for now sound is perfect, it does get louder in WOT and aggressive, but i guess not as loud as before, but thats how I wanted it. Hope I have helped somewhat to those who want quiet exhausts :) :dsm:

im not sure if anyone added this, but in regards to your hanger that was "built on the wrong side", unbolt the 2 14mm bolts and rotate it 180* and it will fit perfectly.

thats what happened with my Megan exhaust and it looks to be the same with yours.
