ssautochrome afpr / looks like the aeromotive knockoff

The strange thing is that 100 dollars isn't even that cheap for an afpr when there are cheap knockoff ones for 40 bucks anyway.

thanks, i was searching through ebay and found a sard regulator that i'm more interested in now

but a question:
there are 2 types of sard regulators
the standard and the typeR

it says that the standard is only capable of 450 hp
and the type R is for 500 hp and up
whats the differences in the regulator allow it to support 500hp +
i thought that when your at WOT , less fuel goes back to the tank and most of it goes through the injectors anyways, so by having a bigger regulator should change much right?
the standard regulator is good for the 255hp walbro
and the walbro 255 hp is good for 600hp
so whats going on?
can the STANDARD regulator support more than 450 hp?

i'm thinking this is more like a marketing gimmick companies use so they can make more money

I just bought one of those ssautochrome afpr's off of ebay (havent recieved it yet) but it looks to be just like all the other ones you see for 150-200 bucks, and you save like 50 bucks. its definately alot better than the 30 dollar one that you have to piece together and leaks right off the bat. hopefully that should fix my stock fuel pressure from running 55 psi (stock specs are 22-25 psi with the vacuum hose hooked up and should only jump to 35 tops with it off) cause im running rich as hell and its washing down my cylinders, causing me to burn mad oil, but when i put in next weekend i will definately post and tell you how it is.

cool, did you also buy a separate line to connect from you rail to the afpr?
or else i think you might have some fitment issues
i don't think that regulator can just hang off the rail like that
you still have to bolt the regulator to the firewall and have a fuel line connecting the rail and the afpr

the kit comes with the adaptor for the rail
it also has the 90 degree elbow the goes directly to the regulator
but i was just worried that it might not fit in the tight space of the 2g engine bay
but the BR fpr picture that you supplied looks like i have nothing to worry about

let get some first hand experiences with this knock off regulator
looks like the aeromotive ones that sell for double the price
so if this works just as good, its got me sold

isn't the aeromotive more like 210 for the ss kit at importevolution?

this is also a kit too, but come with shittier fittings

i hate how everyone shits on knockoff products, they are knockoffs of good products, what are they using to make it? plastic, no, maybe for crappy bov's. If you don't have first hand experience with knockoff's don't diss it.

I personally have the SSautochrome big16 kit with the tubular manifold. I have no complaints. Its hard to knockoff a turbo when they all have to meet certain standards......As for the FPR, its great! comes with everything you need except a line. It hooks right up to your fuel rail and adjusts like a greddy bov. Doesn't leak and looks great.

Just buy the part, and test it before making these EBAY parts threads. Thats what I do, if its good or bad, I'll post the results. All have been good thus far, but if posting about it with no experience, you'll be getting a lot of negative comments right of the bat. People want reviews/numbers/testimonials/etc.

Thats how the success of the EBAY fmics came about. We just had about enough of people speculating and talking, just went out and bought it and shoved the results in the faces of all the naysayers. And now we've turned a lot of people into hypocrites. :p The reason why the turbos from eBay are still bad, because its success rate is not consistent compared to all the other products, but thats understandable seeing as the mechanics and material importance of a turbo. So much variables in the turbo department.

FPRs I see no problem, of course we need real hands on experience ;)

id do some looking i got my aeromotive fpr off the classifields on here i got it with all the fittings gauge and steal braided line for 120 shipped
