just as it says, i did a light 2nd gear pull 3/4 throttle and then the airbag light came on. I have no idea why, i've searched the forums and found nothing about solving it except go to the dealer.

HOW can i safely disable the system all together until i have money to go the dealer? is unpluggin ghe module below the center console ok for now?>

please help, inthe past people i know who've driven with this light on eventually have the bag go off in their face, and with my spinal injuries this could be extra bad on me and i can't risk it, id' rather not have them for now than to have them go off randomely

notes: i did the AWD swap and been driving for almost a week and this just happened today, i also swapped shift cables during the swap, all my other gauges are fine and the other lights come on and go off as normal. I just made a left turn, stepped on the gas to get ahead of traffic and when i looked down the light was on and i'm scrared

Airbags are inop when ever the srs light is on, if you unplug the front impact sesor it would force the light on, or you can unplug the srs module.

The only way to deploy the airbags would be by installed a internally failed (deployed) srs module in a undeployed car. (or in a tahoe by flipping that module upside down, no experience there ROFL)

Unless a airbag has the wire short to power you will be fine, and that would never illuminate a srs light prior to the blow out, so it's a moot point.
