Squeeling Noise = :S

Well, as the name says my car has a slight squeeling noise.. It only comes when I FIRST start the car up, and only when its fairly cold out; it squeels for a few seconds, but as soon as I either reach boost or the car warms up a little it goes away. Any ideas?

damn this is the same prob i got its becuase it just rained and our belts are chappy i went and bought some belt dressing to spray on it. sounds like a hell though them 1st few seconds

Belt dressing? did it work, cause mine do it now cause of the colder weather, the belts shrink in the cold, thus they slip when you first start it up. then they warm up after a minute or so and all is good. its just a dsm thing, mine do it in cold, my 2 freinds(^^^sinister is one) dsm;s do it also.

It's just one of your accesory belts slipping. Check the deflection on all the belts by pushing down on them one at a time. They shouldn't move more than 1/4" Tighten up whichever one is loose.

You should be able to ALMOST twist the belt 45degrees in the middle between the 2 pulleys it is strung on. Not forcefully, but with 2 fingers.

**** UPDATE ****

Okay it was not the belts at all, I got in my car just now and BAM i turned in off in 2 seconds get out of my car and i notice my Cracnkshaft pully is off (wtf) i get under my car and find out the pulley has seperated from its self looks like i need to buy a Pulley and a new belt, Anyone know where i can buy a OEM Crankshaft pulley? I heard the aftermarket ones arnt as good RRE told me that they use OEM on the race car.

Just buy an OEM one from Satan. Someone can find you a good price. If you have a hookup at a dealership you can get it at cost.

Just for the record, this is backwards. Belts, unlike most other things in nature, actually expand when they get cold and contract when they warm up.
