ok so my car has always been squeaking but only on start up for a little bit. then it stopped. Then it would randomly start doing it while i was driving, and this was like an OMFG!!! it sounds like 80 pigs being gutted, its such a loud squeak and gets louder as i accelerate. and its not the harmonic balancer, because it squeaked before replaced it and it still squeaks. I think its the belt or pulley that is used for teh alternator, because ive had problems with that, like they are eating the teeth off the belt even when they are aligned. And i think like the pulley is moving too fast for the belt or something because i just got an new alternator and my radar reads by batt. V. and it was good for awhile and now its going down to like 11Volts. idk please help.

Sounds like you answered your own question.

Is the belt tight enough? You shouldn't be able to grab it in the middle and twist it 90* without a very significant force.

i can move it a little bit, ill tighten it up a lil bit later. and tell you how it goes.
