For awhile now my clutch pedal intermittently (though it seems to do it quite a bit after harder driving) has a vibrating feeling while pushing it in. Also, though less frequently, my clutch pedal seemed to like to lose a little bit of pressure at the beginning of my down stroke, then vibrate on its way up. Lately, while my car is sitting in neutral, my car (tranny area) sometimes makes a high pitched squealing sound that goes away when my clutch is pushed in. Now, VERY frequently (today) it has been losing a lot of pressure at the top of my pedal "down stroke" and catches and releases very close to the floor. Then whenever it feels like it, it goes back to normal. When I shut my car off my pedal feels perfect. Hopefully it's something small, but by small I mean easy to fix. A throwout bearing doesn't fall into that category. Ideas?

I have the same squeling, rattling noise while the car is sitting in neutral. I am not sure but I think it might be my throw out bearing. I didn't grease it? I am currently doing some research and will post my findings if I come across anything.

Mine doesn't rattle, yet. Just a little bit of squealing. When my car is off the pedal feels fine, but when I turn it back on it feels crappy.

New problem... I pushed in the clutch after checking for leaks at the slave cylinder (no leak  ) and my clutch dropped to the floor. Now, I'm not sure if it was a bad idea, but I pushed on the slave cylinder part that moves the arm thingy that goes into the transmission (I'm obviously out of my league when it comes to matters of the transmission and everything that relates to it). Don't ask me why I did it... It was there, it looked movable, and I wanted to see what it did. It just pushed in and out, pretty anti-climactic, but why would this cause my pedal to COMPLETELY lose pressure? The fact that pumping it fast made it regain pressure would point toward it being air in the lines or a slave/master cylinder, correct?

Ok, my throwout bearing just crapped out on me. My car's not going anywhere for awhile. New clutch time.
