I am a "newbe" so please don't hammer me too hard :)

I am the proud owner of a 97 Talon ESI automatic with only 38k miles on it. Outside of a sunroof rattle that I fixed with some rubber door trim, and a rear compartment light that doesn't work (I will have to get a manual to figure that one out, I don't know where the switch is), the car is perfect. I do however have a very squeaky rear suspension. It only seems to squeak at low speeds and over speed bumps. Everything appears to be stock, but I have no way to tell. I have seen postings about the bushing material used contributing to the squeak. Can someone tell me what to check and how? Or better yet how to fix it?

Thanks,

Tom

check your shocks. Most likely they're blown. I had the same issue and when I replaced them I was squeek free.

I can push on my car hard and it only bounces up once so from what I've heard that means the struts are good. I have a squeaking in mine too only at low speed a really bad over bumps. I always wanted to know what it was but had other things to worry about.
