Hey guys. I've been reading up on 14b's and when they're supposed to reach full boost and I've came up with 3000-3200rpms. Well, mine doesn't reach full boost till around 4000 in all gears. I'm running stock boost and don't have an MBC. But the weird thing is it'll be around 7 psi until 4k then it'll hit full boost. Is this building of boost normal? Or is it supposed to gradually build boost but faster? I don't have any boost leaks anywhere and no pre-turbo exhaust leaks. My car has NO power at all till 3k rpms which it's at about 7psi, then right around 4-4200 it hits full boost. Previous owner of the car had the turbo rebuilt (have receipts) and has about 50k on it now.
I'm thinking either the wastegate flapper is opening prematurely or it needs a new spring? Like I said, there's no leaks anywhere so am I correct to thinking this might be the problem? If so, how would I go about replacing the spring or fixing the flapper? Or would an MBC be a solution to the problem?

. Thanks though I'll try that. Is there anyway I could check this without removing it though? This is my DD..
