Hey guys I've got a car spiting oil through the pcv valve. My first thoughts where blown piston rings. But I'm not too sure on this. Anybody out there know if I'm right or is this another problem.

Leakdown test is in order.

Does the car smoke at Startup, Idle Or while on the gas?

Yes the car smokes real bad on startup and while giving it gas. Smoke is white in color too.

May be a blown HG or excessive blow-by. Compression or leakdown test.

Any other symptoms?

Nop thats about it. What I did is rotated the crank and I heard a swoosh sound from the oil
cap (a cylinder wasn't holding pressure). Thats what told me i had to tear this engine apart.
which i did yesterday. Pistons 2 and3 had there top rings fall apart. Which leads me to
another question. These two pistons show a little scrapping on the side shoulders. Should i
replace these or are they ok. I checked the rod bearings and they show sings of wear too.
Probably didn't have the oil changed often.
Just an FYI this is not my car nor a dsm (sister in laws').

I would just get new pistons/rods... they're certainly cheap enough. Hell, I've thrown perfectly good stock pistons/rods out because I couldn't give them away! You'll want to hone the cylinders and make sure the crank isn't scored or otherwise badly damaged. Clean the journals with emory cloth and you should be good to go. If you're not comfortable examining the crank, take it to a machine shop; they probably won't even charge you.

I purchased new rod bearings and sanded the scratches on the pistons.
This is taking long because my sister in law brings 50 bucks in now and then and the more
i tear into this engine the more parts it seems i need to replace. This is all a good exercise
being that my 420A is about to kit the 100k mark so I would like to rebuild the complete
engine. Wish me luck.
