2G Spit and sputters when you accelerate 96 talon tsi awd

I just bought a 96 talon tsi awd and when i start pressing down the gas alot it will spit and sputter at me. It idles fine and will run good but you can just barely press down on the gas. I does it really bad when you are in the higher gears. I just wanna know where i should start so i can get it running good.

Start with plugs and wires.

I'd start with plugs and wires and see what happens. Make sure to go with NGK plugs too.

it has new plugs and wires. i was thinkin it could be a coged fuel filter or maybe a catylic converter???

Try a boost leak test, fix all the leaks.

Are they properly gaped to .028? I had the same issue when i bought my first set of new plugs for the car because they said they came pre-gaped. They did but to like.043 or something ridiculous.My car would run great unless i gave it a decent amount of gas, then it just sputter. If there good then look for wires that are arcing, Boost leak check is a must either way, and do you have any fuel mods?

boost leak, ignition coil, fuel delivery. Whats your fuel pressure at time of miss under a load?

the car is completely stock. I'm taking at in tomorrow to get it looked at I'll let ya know what they say

o btw It needs a new cat, fuel filter and plugs and wires and it runs great
