SPF mild steel manifold or DNP STAINLESS MANIFOLD?

you should give ams a call if you wanna actully spend your money right, on a part that is worth buying. they make some killer headers for just about anything, 1g with a t/3 housing or t/4, 2g with t/3 or t/4 housing should be out soon ( eric). there alittle more money but you get what you pay for.

Look up in this thread at the shearer header and take note of what will soon be everyone's high end header of choice.

Yup, I'm sure it'd instantly ignite the gas inside of the tank and the car would instantaneously blow up.

They obviously don't jig them or fit them properly. I've seen 2-3 SFP's with horrible bolt access, mine included.

The top left two studs/bolts you can't get to. You can't take the nuts off unless you unbolt the whole manifold and shake it and angle it until you can FORCE the nuts off. It is a bad pic, I'll gladly take a better one for you.

And like I've already said in this thread, I could give two sh1ts about a warranty against cracking. I want a manifold that won't crack. If you have a custom setup like mine, it's a real PITA to take your turbo and all the other shit off every two months. Of course, when your WG runner falls off, and you and 3 other cars run over your WG/dump, please let me know if SFP warranties it.

i really couldnt care less about how you feel about the manifold, im just stating my experience and the several people i know that didnt have any problem.

last time i checked a wastegate runner is part of the manifold and therefor it would be under warranty.

maybe me and the other people i know with the manifolds just got "lucky". who knows. all i do know is my experience and those on my friends. if you are gonna get all bent out of shape because i didnt have a problem with the product, then theres nothing i can say.

and as far as having a "custom setup"..most people with aftermarket manifolds are most likely pretty far down the mod list, so i doubt your "custom" setup is anymore "custom" then the next persons

well with most products some people will have good results, while others will not. In my case i am pleased with the manifold and would reccomend it. In your case you were not pleased and wouldnt reccomend it.

All we can do is express our own personal opinions and experiences, which is much more helpfull then jumping on a bandwagon with no personal experience with the product (which happens a majority of the time.)

on a side note, if you noticed a crank forming on the runner, you could send it back, have it fixed and i bet they would brace the runner if you asked (they probably should in the first place just for reassurance)

i have been going through a dilema of wether or not to buy a dnp. hearing these stories, make me glad i did not buy one. The only tubular manifold I would buy, would be if it was made out of 8 guage. I know for sure that it would not crack then. Otherwise, all that thin wall material that these companies are making their manifold out or, will crack. Give it time.

my wastegatte just broke off completly ####ing pos manifold. i bought it through slow boy racing they are trying to talk to dnp for me. they better make good on it im gonna be real pissed if they dont. sucks i just a magnus intake mani and i cant put it on cause i gotta wait on dnp

Its interesting that no one has chimed in about the sbr cast mani.. flows just as much as a tubular setup.. and isn't going to crack.. people say do it once and do it right then the sbr mani is right.. the first time.. BUY IT!
