Hi,

Im almost ready to pull my trans out but I cant pull the speedometer assembly from the trans. Ive pulled out the bolt holding it in place but i cant pull it out. any tips on how to pull it? Ive soaked it in PB blaster already.

Vic

its pretty tough to screw out. is there any tool that would help? my haynes manual says it should be pulled out.

You have to be careful with them manuals because they just assume that all of our model cars have the same engine. The 420a may pull striaght out but the 4G63 one has to be unscrewed.

i tried unscrewing it today and the part where the bolt holds it to the tranny cant go any further because its hitting a part of the trans. How exactly do you screw it out?
