So I just changed my speedo cable today because the old one was broken.

I'm not sure, but it seems that the speed is faster than what it feels.

I have a 91 eagle talon tsi AT. At 3k rpm, i'm hitting about 67-68mph,
I hit 65mph at about 2700rpm.

Does this sound right?

it depends on what gear your in. Since you're an auto trans, 3rd gear at 3k could be right for 67-68mph. All depends on mods....

yea, because when you start upgrading your car, turbo, exhaust, ect ect, that will without a doubt change your gear ratio.

he is most likely talking about rims and tires being aftermarket (smaller or bigger). that speed for 2700rpm seems a little to fast, are the gears on the cable the same or are they different.
