Got in my car a few minutes ago to run to the store.
Wasn't paying attention till i got on the main road and my speedo said i was doing 55........in a 35.
So i instantly slowed down and noticed i wasn't really going 55.
The speedo stayed up at around 55.
When i would change gears or turn the car off it would go down to 0.
Once i got rolling it would go up to 55 again.
Not instanly but within a couple of seconds.
Any ideas?

speedo gear sounds whipped out. Its a 10mm bolt in the back of the trans. Pull it out and take a look. You might get lucky with just replacing that one. Or its the one on the front diff. If thats the case trans has to come out and get torn apart.

Well not worried about the speedo anymore.........the tranny took a shit.
Man this sucks.
