2G Speed Sensor

So here's my question.

I have a bolt going through the hole where my speed sensor drops into the transaxle. This bolt doesn't allow me to put a speed sensor in the hole.

What the hell is this bolt doing there?!

It may have been fine when you saw it, but it may be chewed up by now. You need to pull it back out and check it.

How do I pull that gear out?

Which one, the plastic/nylon gear on the sensor, or the one in the trans? If you mean the one in the trans you would have to remove the trans and split the case. Do either of them look damaged?

Both look fine. It's just weird... My speedometer will stay under 20mph and the needle will just bounce back and fourth.
