Speed Sensor Replacement on A/T

I need to replace my speed sensor on my A/T. It looks like I have to remove the trans mount to get at the bolt that holds it in. Is this the case? Does anyone have any tips on replacing one?

my tip, is save up about 150 dollars and send it to a transmission shop. it is not fun replacing a speed sensor. dont take the hassle

Not 100% if it is the same as the manual, I think it is. But it is in the middle of that mount? If so you just need to remove the 10mm bolt that holds it in and remove the clip and it will slide pull right out.

It is in the middle of the mount, but the 10mm bolt doesn't appear to be accessable. Someone told me the mount had to be removed. Does anyone know for sure?

Yea i have this same problem...to fix it right you will have to remove the tranny mount. i dont think there is any other way to do it. But maybe for next tijme, you could possibly make a little like oval hole to where you could get to it later on down the road?

Hey atleast it could be a perfect time to check if your rear tranny mount is good or not...just some words of encouragement
