2G Drop transmission for speed sensor replacement?

On a 2g AWD do I need to drop the transmission to replace the speed sensor? I smashed it putting the trans back in but didn't notice until everything was put back together.

No you can reach it from the top. There's just one little bolt holding it in you can reach it with a socket & a long extension.

Remove that bolt completely. Dont take it out along with the sensor or ridk it falling off and having it drop in the hole.

You'll wanna be able to grab it and twist/wiggle it out. The cable drive for the Speedo will still be attached though.

2gs dont have a cable. The sensor isnt mechanical its electric.

remove battery and tray still a tight squeeze but makes it easier.

It did clearly say 2g too, oops. I just remembered mine being a little tough to get out.
