I am looking for as much info as possible about why to switch to speed density and how to on a 2g awd. I searched for about 15 mins and didn't come up with much info, mainly just posts about not venting to atmosphere.

I appreciate any info that will be posted or even links that I may have missed in my search.

Thanks in advance.

fyi- i am just really curious and am trying to learn.:D

I don't know which website you searched, but SD has been beaten to death on this site.

Typing "speed density" into the search bar at the top of this page and selecting "Thread titles only" brings up 95 other threads on the subject.

SD can also be run through Ceddy mods in a 98 or 99 plastic ECU. It costs around $200 for the cable, $40 for the software, and you can normally get an ECU for next to nothing. It is worth checking out. I want to try it really badly.

My friends have a WRX, an STi, and a '99 TSi AWD and I have been telling them to get the Tactrix cable so I can tune their cars and try out flashing a '98/'99 DSM. They all want these other goofy tuning solutions and I don't know how to convince them that the Tactrix cable does all 3 for less than the cost of one. It doesn't make sense!
